Kirjath (kûr`jăth), the same as Kirjath-jearim Kirjath-jearim , in the Bible, ancient fortress and holy place, ancient Palestine, W of Jerusalem. It also appears as Kirjath, Kirjath-arim, Kirjath-baal, Baalah, and Baale of Judah.
