an urban-type settlement in Azerbaijan SSR, part of the Kirovskii Raion in the city of Baku. Population, 43,000 (1970). There is a sawmill. A branch of the Baku Evening Petroleum Technicum is located in Kirovskii. There is petroleum extraction nearby.

an urban-type settlement, center of Kirovskii Raion, Taldy-Kurgan Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Located on the Koksu River (of the Lake Balkhash basin). Railroad station (Tentek) on a branch of the Alma-Ata-Lepsy line. Population, 15,000 (1970). A sugar combine and a sovkhoz for fattening livestock are located in the city. There is also production of canned dairy products and the repair of agricultural machines.

(until 1934, Nikitinskie Promysly), an urban-type settlement in Kamyziak Raion, Astrakhan Oblast, RSFSR. Landing on one of the branches of the Volga River delta, 75 km south of Astrakhan. There is a fish-processing plant in the settlement.

an urban-type settlement, center of Kirovskii Raion, Primor’e Krai, RSFSR. It is located on the Ussuri River, a tributary of the Amur, 18 km east of the Shmakovka railroad station on the Khabarovsk-Ussuriisk line. It has a logging and timber distribution enterprise, a creamery, a plant producing reinforced-concrete structures, a meat and dairy sovkhoz and a beekeeping sovkhoz. Kirovskii also has a tourist center.
