Kletnia

an urban-type settlement and center of Kletnia Raion, Briansk Oblast, RSFSR, situated on the River Nadva (Dnieper basin). Population, 12,000 (1970).

Kletnia is the terminus of the 43-km railway branch from Zhukovka on the Briansk-Smolensk line. It is 99 km west of Briansk. Furniture is manufactured in the city, which also has a timber combine and a cheese-processing plant.
