Klintsy 

a city in Briansk Oblast, RSFSR, on the Turosna River (Dnieper basin). Population, 60,000 (1972).

Klintsy is a railroad station on the Briansk-Gomel’ line, 172 km southwest of Briansk. It has been an important center for light industry since the early 19th century. It has industrial associations for fine fabrics and leather footwear, plants manufacturing textile machinery and piston rings, an auto-repair plant, factories producing clothing, knitwear, and string and cord, and a building-materials combine. There is also a textile technicum, a medical school, a teachers college, and a museum of local lore.
