Kolegaev, Andrei Lukich
Born 1887 in Surgut, in present-day Khanty-Mansi National Okrug, Tiumen’ Oblast; died Mar. 22, 1937. Russian political figure. Kolegaev was one of the organizers of the Left Socialist Revolutionary (SR) Party. He represented the Left SR Party in the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR as people’s commissar of agriculture beginning in December 1917. By order of the Central Committee of the Left SR Party, he left the government in March 1918 when the Brest peace treaty was signed. After the Left SR mutiny of 1918, Kolegaev broke with the party and joined the RCP (Bolshevik) in November of that year. During the Civil War of 1918–20, Kolegaev was chief of supply and a member of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Southern Front and then was a member of the collegium of the People’s Commissariat of Transportation and Communications in 1920–21.
