an urban-type settlement in Chamzinka Raion, Mordovian ASSR. Situated on the Nuia River of the Sury River basin 2 km from the Nuia railroad station on the Ruzaev-ka-Kazan line. Population, 11,400 (1971). Komsomol’skii has a cement factory, a combine for the production of asbestos cement articles, and an industrial technicum.
