Konstantinov, Mikhail Panteleimonovich
Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Moscow. Soviet architect. Konstantinov studied under B. S. Mezentsev at the Moscow Institute of Architecture from 1944 to 1950. His works in Moscow include residential buildings on Osipenko Street (1952–54) and on Vernadskii Boulevard (1965), as well as the Krasnopresnenskaia subway station (1953, in collaboration with others). Konstantinov also designed the river terminal in Kazan (1956–59, together with the architect I. G. Gainutdinov), the city communication center in Kislovodsk (1970), the Lenin Memorial in Ulianovsk (1970, together with B. S. Mezentsev, G. G. Isakovich, and others; Lenin Prize, 1972).
