Korhogo (kôrhō`gō), town (1996 est. pop. 158,300), N Côte d'Ivoire. It is an administrative and processing center for a mountainous region where cotton, kapok, rice, millet, peanuts, corn, and yams are grown and sheep and goats are raised. Video coverage of marriages, funerals, and other events became common during the early 1990s, and a number of former still photographers in the city of Korhogo expanded their business within a few years, now calling themselves cameramen. |
