Kozi-Karpeshe—Bayan-Slu
a Kazakh lyric epic poem. More than 16 variants of the epic are known. The recorded variants were set down by G. Derbisalin in 1834 and A. Frolov in 1841. The people associated the images of the epic heroes Kozi-Karpeshe and Bayan-slu, who fought for happiness, with the moral ideals that compensated for the gloomy aspect of the social reality of the feudal period.
