Kuchuk 

a bitter salt lake in Altai Krai, RSFSR. Area, 181 sq km; maximum depth, 3.3 m. Lake Kuchuk is located in the central Kulunda Steppe at an elevation of 98 m. It is joined by a channel with Lake Kulunda, which lies 6 km to the north. The lake is fed by snow; the Kuchuk River flows into it from the east. It has industrial deposits of Glauber’s salt (mirabilite). There is a resort on the south shore. The urban-type settlement of Blagoveshchenka is northeast of Lake Kuchuk.
