Kuiaviia
(Kuyabiya, Kuyaba), according to medieval (ninth and tenth century) Arab, Persian, and Middle Asian geographers, one of three centers of ancient Rus’ existing in the ninth century. The other two were Artaniia and Slaviia. Most modernday historians believe that Kuiaviia was an early feudal state uniting the East Slavic tribes of the Middle Dnieper region, the capital of which was Kuiaba (Kiev). REFERENCESGarkavi, A.
