Kuibyshevskii

Kuibyshevskii 

an urban-type settlement in the Tadzhik SSR. It is located in the Vakhsh Valley, on the left bank of the Vakhsh River (Piandzh basin), 106 km south of Dushanbe and 6 km from Kurgan-Tiube. Population, 20,000 (1972). It has a cotton-ginning mill and a pig-raising sovkhoz. There is also a sovkhoz technicum.


Kuibyshevskii 

(prior to 1969, Trudovoi), an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Kuibyshevskii Raion, Kokchetav Oblast, Kazakh SSR. It is situated on the left bank of the Ishim River, 4 km from the Peski railroad station. Population, 7,000 (1972). The settlement has a plant producing reinforced-concrete structural components, shops for repairing farm machinery, and a grain elevator. A meat-packing combine was under construction in 1973.


Kuibyshevskii 

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Kuibyshevskii Raion, Tadzhik SSR. It is situated in the Vakhsh Valley, 86 km south of Dushanbe. Population, 6,700 (1971). The administrative office of the Shurabad Irrigation System is located here.
