(The Worker), a monthly magazine published in Pyongyang since 1946; the official theoretical and political publication of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers Party (KWP). Kulloja prints articles explaining the party’s policies and documents and materials of the Central Committee of the KWP. It deals with party, ideological, and organizational questions, problems of the building of socialism in the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea, the situation in South Korea, and the major issues in foreign policy, including problems related to the peaceful unification of Korea.

In the spring of 1999, near the end of my stay in the DPRK as a United Nations food aid official, an editorial appeared in the newspaper Rodong Sinmun and the journal Kulloja, both organs of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea.
