an urban-type settlement in Kosov Raion, Ivano-Frankovsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, situated in the foothills of the Carpathians on the Cheremosh River (a tributary of the Prut), 3 km from the Vizhnitsa railroad station. Woodworking is an industry in Kuty; rugs, embroidered articles, and ceramics are manufactured.
