Kvarner

Kvarner 

a strait between the Istrian Peninsula and the island of Cres in the northern Adriatic Sea. Kvarner connects the Gulf of Rijeka with the open part of the Adriatic Sea. Length, approximately 50 km; width, 5–28 km; depth, to 51 m. There is fishing in the strait.
