an urban-type settlement, the administrative center of Kzyltu Raion, Kokchetav Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Railroad station 240 km east of Kokchetav. Population (1970), 9,000.

Kzyltu is the center of an important agricultural region. It has an elevator plant, a creamery, an asphalt plant, and an agricultural-machine repair plant.
