López Bravo, Gregorio (grāgō`rēō lō`pāth brä`vō), 1923–85, Spanish politician. He entered government service in 1959, serving as director-general of foreign trade to Dec., 1960, director-general of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Currency (1960–62), and minister of industry (1962–69). A member of Opus Dei Opus Dei [Lat.,=work of God], Roman Catholic organization, particularly influential in Spain, officially the Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei.
