The Prestera-MX products integrate an MPLS engine that can be used within a Label Edge Router (LER) or a Label Switch Router (LSR), as well as provide support for MPLS-based VPNs.
The features tested include: Acting as an Ingress and Egress Label Edge Router (LER), providing transit services as a Label Switch Router (LSR), and supporting Basic Label Switch Path (LSP) setup with the extended RSVP protocol, for both Loose and Strict Explicit Paths, with Tunnel Reroute capability.
