Data Connection's latest release of DC-RSVP-TE includes full support of end-to-end (e2e) label switched path (LSP) protection and restoration as per the IETF's draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-recovery-e2e-signaling specification.
In a multi-vendor test that included core IP routers as client devices, SN 16000 optical switches successfully demonstrated dynamic, end-to-end provisioning of 10 Gigabit Ethernet Label Switched Paths (LSPs) in a hybrid IP/Optical application using GMPLS User Network Interface (UNI) control plane signaling.
The participants are engaged in a variety of scenarios to test the capabilities of Hierarchical Virtual Private LAN Service (H-VPLS), Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) capabilities of MPLS networks including Label Switched Path (LSP) Ping, ATM-MPLS interworking and Layer 2 (Martini/PWE3-based Ethernet, Frame Relay and ATM pseudowires) and Layer 3 VPNs.
