Labuda, Gerard
Born Mar. 28, 1916, in the village of Nowa Huta, near Kartuzy. Polish historian, member of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 1964. A professor at the University of Poznań since 1950, Labuda became the university’s rector in 1962. Since 1958 he has been the editor of the Dictionary of Slavic Antiquities.
