Lac Qui Parle State Park Location: Approximately 0.5 miles north of Watson on US 59 and State Highway 7, then west on Chippewa County Road 13. Facilities: 85 drive-in campsites (58 with full hookups), showers (é), flush toilets (é), 3 cart-in campsites, group camp (6 sites), picnic area, picnic shelters (é), horseshoe pits, swimming beach, fishing pier (é), boat launch, hiking trails (6 miles), horse trails (5 miles), ski trails (5 miles), warming house, visitor center (é), historic site, gift shop. Activities: Camping, swimming, lake and river fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching, hunting. Special Features: In French, Lac Qui Parle means "lake which speaks," referring to the noise made by the thousands of migratory Canada geese and other waterfowl which descend on the lake in the spring and fall.
