Lacey-Keosauqua State Park Location: Adjoins Keosauqua, off IA 1. Facilities: 113 campsites (45 with electrical hookups) with modern restrooms and showers, 6 family cabins (rentals), day-use lodge (é), 3 open picnic shelters (é), playground, hiking trails, swimming beach and bathhouse, boat ramp, boat rentals, 30-acre lake. Activities: Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, cross-country skiing. Special Features: Lacey-Keosauqua is one of Iowa's largest and most picturesque state parks, whose natural features include hills, bluffs, and valleys along the Des Moines River. Overlooking the river in the northwest section of the park are 19 burial mounds, built by an ancient group of Woodland Culture Indians.
