Talk about casting your net far and wide - never mind a pint of lager and lime, I think a gallon of WD-40 would do me more good.
In my day, it was called lager and lime and was drunk by ladies.
It's thankfully mostly a haze now, but I can still remember being unable to get anywhere near a bar courtesy of a blockade manned by hundreds of unfeasibly tall young men, guffawing at everything while coveting halves of lager and lime in some sort of endurance ritual.
