Lagutin, Boris Nikolaevich
Born June 24, 1938, in Moscow. Soviet boxer, Honored Master of Sports (1963); a teacher. Lagutin graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture (1963) and Moscow State University (1971). He has been a member of the CPSU since 1966. Fighting as a light middleweight, he was the Olympic champion at the 18th (1964, Tokyo) and 19th (1968, Mexico City) games and won a medal at the 17th games (1960, Rome); he was champion of Europe (1961, 1963) and of the USSR (1959, 1961–64, 1968).
