Lake Bronson State Park Location: 2 miles east of the town of Lake Bronson on County Highway 28. Facilities: 160 drive-in campsites (35 with electrical hookups), showers (é), flush toilets (é), 4 backpack campsites, 2 canoe-in campsites, group camp, picnic area and shelters (é), hiking trails (14 miles), self-guided trail (1.5 miles), paved bike trail (2 miles), mountain bike trails (5 miles), wheelchair accessible trail (2 miles), ski trails (7 miles), snowmobile trails (3 miles), warming house, swimming beach, fishing pier (é), boat launch, boat and canoe rentals, volleyball court, playground (é), observation tower, historic structures, visitor center (é), interpretive exhibits, gift shop. Activities: Camping, swimming, lake and river fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing. Special Features: Located in a transition area between prairie and forest, this park supports a variety of wildlife. An observation tower in the park allows visitors to view the prairie and aspen-oak forests or watch for deer, sharp-tailed grouse, moose, and sandhill cranes.
