Lake Catherine State Park Location: Exit 97 off I-30 near Malvern, then 12 miles north on AR 171. Facilities: 73 campsites with hookups (including preferred sites), 2 rent-a-camp sites, 18 cabins, picnic sites, pavilion, playgrounds, marina (seasonal), boat rentals, boat launch ramp, laundry, trails, nature center (seasonal), visitor center with groceries, ice, snacks, and gifts (é). Activities: Camping, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, horseback riding , scenic boat tours, interpretive programs. Special Features: Park is situated in the Ouachita Mountains on the shore of 1,940-acre Lake Catherine, one of the Hot Springs area's Diamond Lakes. The park features rustric-style facilities of native stone and wood constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.
