Location:11 miles southwest of Colorado City, on Farm Road 2836.
Facilities:Campsites with water and electricity hookups, tent camping, showers, restrooms, group camp, day-use group facility, picnic areas, boat ramp, fishing piers, playgrounds.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, jet skiing, birding.
Special Features:Lake Colorado City was built in 1949 on Morgan Creek, a tributary of the Colorado River, by Texas Electric Service Company and contains more than 5 miles of shoreline. Park is home to part of the Texas Longhorn herd.
