Location: 6 miles northeast of Guntersville, off Highway 227, in northeast Alabama.
Facilities: 364 modern campsites, primitive campsites, camp store, 35 family cottages (é), 100-room resort lodge with swimming pool, restaurant, convention facilities, gift shop, picnic area, group pavilions, trails, snack bar, 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, playground, nature center.
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, tennis, eagle watching.
Special Features: Park is located in the Tennessee Valley overlooking the 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir. The resort inn, restaurant, and convention complex (closed for renovation 2004-2006) is situated at the pinnacle of Taylor Mountain, with a view of Lake Guntersville below.
