Lake Manatee State Park Location: 15 miles east of Bradenton on SR 64. Facilities: 60 full-facility campsites, picnic area, pavilion, playground, swimming beach, showers, boat ramp, restrooms (é). Activities: Camping, boating (20 HP limit), freshwater fishing, swimming, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Park extends along 3 miles of the south shore of Lake Manatee, which serves as a water reservoir for Manatee and Sarasota counties. The rest of the park is mostly pine flatwoods and sand pine scrub, with some depression marshes and hardwood forests.
