The visitor center offers accounts of the pioneer and Indian history of the area. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and skiing, as well as water-based recreation in Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. Areas of interest include Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, Sand Harbor State Park, the Pony Express National Historic Trail, Cave Rock, and Incline Village, which is home to many events and festivals, including the Lake Tahoe Jazz Festival. Legth: 28 miles. Start/Endpoint: Byway follows US 50 north from Stateline, Nevada, and intersects NV 28. It then continues north to the northeast point of Lake Tahoe just beyond Incline Village.
