Facilities: 66 modern campsites (62 with electrical hookups, 1 @di), 2 cabins, picnic areas, picnic shelter (é), hiking trail, swimming beach, ski beach, boat ramp, fishing dock (é), fish cleaning station, game courts, playground.
Activities: Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking.
Special Features: Lake was created by impounding waters from the east fork of the Vermillion River in 1958. Some say the river it got its name from the outcropping of red quartzite along its bank.
