Location: 6 miles west of Drakesville, off IA 273.
Facilities: 89 campsites (@di; 44 with electrical hookups), modern shower and restroom facilities, 14 family rental cabins, picnic areas, open picnic shelter (é), multi-use trails, nature trail, swimming beach, playground, fishing pier (é), boat ramp, boat rentals, restaurant (seasonal), concession.
Activities: Camping, swimming, lake fishing, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing.
Special Features: Park has a newly remodeled stone and timber 1930s beach building that includes a seasonal restaurant, a lake observation deck, and restrooms, as well as a concession area. A portion of the building is available for rent. In addition, the facilities of a former Boy Scout camp are now owned by the Camp Wapello Preservation Group. These facilities include 10 separate tent camping areas, a dining hall with cooking facilities, and a shower building.
