Lala 

a river in Arkhangel’sk and Kirov oblasts, RSFSR, a right tributary of the Luza River (Severnaia Dvina basin). Length, 172 km; basin area, 1,010 sq km. The Lala is fed by a mixture of sources, with snow predominating, and flows through a hilly plain. The average water discharge at a point 16 km from its mouth is 11.4 cu m per sec. The maximum outflow is 278 cu m per sec (in May), and the minimum is 0.18 cu m per sec (in February). There is a hydroelectric power plant near the mouth of the Lala River.
