Lambdin, James (Reid) (1807–89) painter; born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He studied with Thomas Sully (1823), and became a portrait painter and miniaturist. He settled in Philadelphia (1837), and his subjects included Presidents Lincoln and Grant.
