Facilities: 3 visitors centers, 4 campgrounds, rental cabins, dispersed camping, 6 beaches, trails (200+ miles), boat ramps, docks, fishing piers, canoe rentals, stables, ORV area, planetarium, gift shop. Activities: Camping, hunting, fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ORV riding, guided tours, interpretive programs. Special Features: Inland peninsula between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley with 300 miles of undeveloped shoreline. Points of interest include Elk & Bison Prairie, 750 acres of restored prairie and home to the largest publicly owned bison herd east of the Mississippi; the Homeplace, a rural Tennessee farm circa 1850; Nature Station, an outdoor activity and environmental education center.
