Landskrona

Landskrona (länskr`nä), city (1990 pop. 26,600), Malmöhus co., SW Sweden, a seaport on the Øresund. It is a commercial and industrial center. Manufactures include metal products, ships, leather, refined sugar, rubber, and textiles. Chartered in 1413, Landskrona was devastated in the Danish-Swedish wars of the 16th–17th cent. In 1677 the Swedes won a naval victory over the Danes off Landskrona. The city was largely rebuilt in the mid-18th cent. The nearby town of Ven, the residence of the 16th-century astronomer Tycho Brahe, was annexed by Landskrona in 1959.
Landskrona 

a city and port in southern Sweden, in the county of Malmöhus, on the eastern shore of the Öresund. The island of Ven is part of the town. Population, 33,900 (1970). Landskrona produces ships, farm machinery, chemicals (superphosphate), textiles, and sugar. It has large armament plants. Landskrona was founded in 1413.

The 25-year-old from Ingleby Barwick has spent the last five seasons playing for Landskrona in Sweden.
After moving to Holland from home-town club Landskrona in 2005, he has been an Eredivisie regular for Nijmegen for the past three years, helping them finish tenth in his first two seasons and eighth last term.
And 6ft 4in Olsson, previously of Landskrona, may be available for a cut-price fee as his contract is running low.
