Laskorin, Boris Nikolaevich
Born June 11 (24), 1915, in Brest. Soviet chemical engineer; corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1966). Honored Inventor of the RSFSR (1964). Member of the CPSU since 1945. Laskorin graduated from the University of Kiev in 1938 and received the degree of doctor of technical sciences in 1956. He became a professor in 1958. He is a specialist in the chemistry and technology of inorganic materials. His main works are devoted to the study of physicochemical sorption and extraction processes. He devised a method and constructed a device for the industrial extraction of nonferrous and rare metals. Laskorin has been awarded the Order of Lenin, two other orders, and medals.
