Special Features: Located near the famous Okefenokee Swamp, the park is home to alligators, carnivorous pitcher plants, saw palmettos, yellow shafted flickers, great blue heron, and other flora and fauna native to Georgia's swampland. Park was named for Laura Walker, a Georgia writer, teacher, civic leader, and naturalist who was a great lover of trees and worked for their preservation.
