Laurel Lake Wildlife Management Area Location: 7 miles east of Lenore, in the southwest corner of the state. Facilities: Picnic areas, picnic shelters, rental paddleboats, hiking trails, swimming pool, playgrounds. Activities: Swimming, hiking, hunting, boating, fishing. Special Features: Area's slopes are steep and its ridges and valleys narrow. Dogwood and rhododendron, the state flower, are common.
