Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen (lou`tərbrnən), town, SE of Interlaken, S central Switzerland, in the Bernese Alps. It is famous for its springs and waterfalls, such as the Staubbach, which falls nearly 1,000 ft (305 m) from Mürren, and the Trümmelbach, which descends in a series of cascades.

Participants use natural rock holds, metal rungs or ladders to clamber along the route high above the Lauterbrunnen valley dominated by the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
One of my all-time favourite hideaways is the small farming hamlet of Gimmelwald in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
We decided to take the round-trip: Wilderswil - Lauterbrunnen - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch - Grindelwald - Wilderswil.
