Lepsha

a river in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Mosha (Onega Basin). Length, 168 km; basin area, 1,680 sq km. The middle course has several small lakes. The Lepsha is fed by mixed sources, predominantly by snow. High water occurs in April and May, with flooding in fall. The Lepsha freezes in October and thaws in late April. It is used for floating logs.
