Lesdiguières, François de Bonne, duc de (fräNswä` də bôn dük də lādēgyĕr`), 1543–1626, marshal and constable of France. He fought on the Huguenot (Protestant) side in the Wars of Religion and in 1575 became chief of the Huguenots of the Dauphiné. He supported Henry of Navarre (King Henry IV Henry IV, 1553–1610, king of France (1589–1610) and, as Henry III, of Navarre (1572–1610), son of Antoine de Bourbon and Jeanne d'Albret ; first of the Bourbon kings of France.
