Leskovac
a city in Yugoslavia, in the Socialist Republic of Serbia, on the Veternica River, a left-bank tributary of the Južna Morava. Population, 44,300 (1971). Leskovac is one of the oldest centers of the textile industry in Yugoslavia, and textile fairs are regularly held there. The city also has a machine-building industry.
