Germer, Lester Halbert

Born Oct. 10, 1896, in Chicago. American physicist.

Germer graduated from Cornell University in 1917. In 1927, together with C. Davisson, he discovered the phenomenon of the diffraction of electrons by a single crystal of nickel.
