Levallois-Perret

Levallois-Perret (ləvälwä`-pĕrā`), residential and industrial suburb of Paris (1990 pop. 47,788), Hauts-de-Seine dept., N central France, on the Seine River. Automobiles, electrical and radio equipment, and perfume are manufactured. The town also has foundries, distilleries, and food-processing plants.
Levallois-Perret 

a city in France, an industrial suburb of Paris, situated on the Seine River, in the department of Hautsde-Seine. Population, 59,000 (1968). The automobile, electrical engineering, chemical, and machine-tool construction industries are located in the city.

It followed a clash between the Paris suburb of Levallois-Perret and neighbouring Clichy la-Garenne.
