A dimensionless number used in studying two-phase flow in porous mediums, written as (ξ/e)1/2(p/σ), where ξ is the permeability of a medium (as defined by Darcy's law),eis the medium's porosity, σ is the surface tension between two liquids flowing through it, andpis the capillary pressure.
