lithium iron phosphate

Donald Wu, CEO of major LiFePO4 battery maker and chairman of PMMC; and Peijen Wang, professor of National Tsing Hua University and senior advisor at PHET.
The battery, powered by LifePO4 - a material used in advanced lithium-ion batteries, was developed by Universite de Montreal researchers.
Unlike other battery materials, the tweaked LiFePO4 does not degrade as much when repeatedly charged and recharged.
