Light Field

the field of a light vector (seeVECTOR FIELD). The theory of light fields is a division of theoretical photometry, in which the distribution of illuminance is found by applying general methods for calculating the spatial distribution of luminous flux. The projection of a light vector on any direction passing through a point is equal to the difference in illuminance of two sides of a small area that is located at this point and is perpendicular to the given direction. The magnitude and position of the light vector are independent of the system of coordinates. The theory of light fields makes use of the concept of light lines, which is analogous to the concept of lines of force in the classical theory of physical fields.

These eight papers from international contributors cover such issues as phenolic compounds, toxic metals in foods of animal origin, alcoholic fermentation stabilized by pulsed electric light fields and sulfur dioxide, the chemistry of defective coffee beans, the stability of tomato carotenoids during processing and storage, and the promise of protease from the intestine of the smooth hound fish which is oxidant-stable and has a with low molecular weight.
The camera displays inputs as colorful light fields surrounding the body, enabling quicker recognition by the researcher.
Specific techniques discussed are VBR algorithms, dense depth methods, those used with widely spaced video cameras, dynamic light fields, visual and photo-hull rendering, temporal coherence, and model-based analysis and synthesis.
