Likasi (lĭkäs`ē), formerly Jadotville (zhädōvēl`), city (1984 pop. 213,862), Katanga province, SE Congo (Kinshasa). It is a major industrial, mining, and transportation center. Copper and cobalt are mined and refined, and cement, chemicals, and beverages are manufactured. The city has an archaeological and mineral museum.

According to Tshibumba, these momentous events occurred in Mulungwishi, a town located between Lubumbashi and Likasi in Zaire.
Kibamba Exploration Permit 851 is located approximately 75 kilometrers west of the town of Likasi, within the DRC portion of the Central African Copperbelt, and is accessed by dirt road.
In addition, the Company chose to write-off its interest in the Kolwezi and Likasi tailings projects located in the DRC resulting in the write-off of $1.
