A mixture of hydrated lime, sand, and water having a compressive strength up to 400 pounds per square inch (2.8 × 106pascals); used for interior non-load-bearing walls in buildings.

lime mortar
A mortar made by mixing lime putty and sand; now little used because of its slow hardening.
